About the book
Step into a world of everyday adventures, family moments and faith-filled lessons. Once Upon A Crescent brings together stories, inspired by the much-loved podcast, about the situations, worries and choices children meet as they grow up: gummy bear trouble, a wobbly tooth, starting school, learning to wear hijab, and finding the perfect prayer rug.
Meet Sofia, Adam, Musa, Yusra and more as they work through their own small dilemmas. Sometimes the smallest worry feels like the biggest challenge, and the simplest family moment becomes a treasured memory.
Rooted in Islamic values, the stories gently invite children to think about faith, kindness, honesty, responsibility, family and making good choices.
Read and listen. Each story includes a QR code that plays Mrs. Hashimi’s narration, so the book works for read-alouds, bedtime and independent reading.
